The lodge use the nature and unique environment to create a once in a life – time experience for visiting guests. Northern Lights, dog sledding and sea safari during early winter leads to specialized skiing weeks during winter and spring.
We are seeking a Executive Chef in Norway
We are looking for an,exercise, imaginative, innovative, self-driven, qualified, passionate advanced and original Executive Chef.
As Executive Chef you will be a manager Chef for the menu development, weekly planning, food cost,safety and stock control.
Chef Requirements:
- At least 3 years of Chef Management experience in a full-service, structured dining establishment
- Strong knowledge of back of the house operations including foods, beverages, staff supervision, inventory, and food safety
- Maintain sanitation procedures and organization of work area adhering to all OSHA regulations.
- Strong understanding of cost and labor systems that lead to restaurant profitability
- Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods
- Strong communication and leadership skills combined with advanced computer and math skills
- Stable and progressive work history; Strong work ethic
As ideal Chef – cook you will have in Norway
- Certificate /diploma in Culinary school
- At least 5 year experience f Chef Management experience in a full-service
- Communication skills – with guests and fellow staff members
- Good personality
- Standard of your work must exceed the standard of the lodge
- Good organisational ability
- Good Self-control
- Initiative and creative Chef
- Honest and serious

Job descriptions:
– Responsible for dinner menus for 17 – 20 persons.
Set 3 course menu every evening preparing dinner at 19.30.

-Stock control/control of deliveries
Housing:
- Private room in a villa shared with 3 – 4 other staff
- Accommodation can be arranged of Lyngen Lodge
The house is:
Located 20 minutes by walk from the lodge/3 minutes drive (car available for job commute without charge)
All equipped kitchen
Toilet clean
Living area with TV
Internet
