Pizzaiola Chef
Reporting to: Oliveto Head Chef
Context: The role of the Pizzaiola Chef is an integral part of the
company’s kitchen team working under the direction of the
Oliveto Head Chef and Head Pizzaiola.
The Pizzaiola Chef assumes direct responsibility for the
successful management of the pizza kitchen and plays an
important role in the continued success of Oliveto.

Duties: Management Role
• To assume responsibility for the pizza kitchen(s)and
ensure continued growth through consistent
execution of our pizzas
• To work closely with the head chef and restaurant
manager to ensure a strong team commitment and
open communication across the teams (especially in
garden pizza kitchen)
• To ensure standards are maintained
• To show good stress tolerance – stress levels are high
in kitchens.
A pizza chef has a good stress tolerance
and can show calmness and control for other staff to
Operational Role

Food Prep
• Ensure that all food prep is strictly carried out
according to our existing menus/formats/recipes
• Ensure that mise-en-place is ready when required
for service and carried out efficiently
• Ensure ordering of required product is to the
standard & freshness required from our approved
• Responsible for proper storing and stock rotation of
all food.
